Douglas Durrett is the President of Watchtower CR, LLC, the parent company of Ocean Club Costa Rica. With over 30 years experience in building fine homes and commercial developments, Doug is responsible for design and construction. He began his career in Boca Raton, Florida in the late 1970s building luxury, custom homes in Florida’s most exclusive ocean front, intercostals, and golf course communities. His experience and reputation led him to build multi-family and mid-rise properties as well as commercial medical office buildings on hospital campuses. Most proud of his client list which includes celebrities, professional athletes and some of the country’s most successful businessmen, Durrett still relishes and maintains these relationships. Doug sold his Florida company in 1993 and relocated to Vail, Colorado, where he started Tayler Made Development, Inc., and has been designing and building high-end residences ever since. Although his work has been recognized numerous times by his peers, local news publications, and national publications such as Architectural Digest, Custom Homebuilders, Resources & Interiors, and Interiors Magazine, he still considers personal letters and referrals from past business relationships his most valued recognition. By striving to treat every development like his first and most important, Doug strives to stay on the cutting edge, at the forefront of the industry. Doug has always lived in the neighborhoods he has helped develop and loves the ocean and resort living. He and his wife, Esther, will be making the Ocean Club their home in the tropics.
