What are the attractions where the Ocean Club is located?
The Ocean Club is located between the towns of Flamingo to the north and Brasilito to the south. This area is known for having the most beautiful beaches on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica which are wonderful for swimming and snorkeling. The town of Flamingo will be the site of the future Flamingo Marina which will have shops, restaurants and a hotel. This 300-slip marina will have one of the finest sport fishing fleets on the coast, as well as charter boats, dive operations, and recreational water sports. Slips will be available for private boat owners and will have many facilities for the boat owner. For excursions to the interior of Guanacaste, there are canopy tours, hiking in national parks, volcano viewing, bird watching, rain forests, mountain biking, and white water rafting.

Liberia has several new shopping malls where you can find most of everything you might need. Tamarindo has boutique shops that carry clothing and souvenirs. The beach towns of Coco and Hermosa also have individual specialty shops.

What national parks are in the area?
Las Baulas Marine National Park is just north of Tamarindo on Playa Grande. This park is an important nesting site for the protected leatherback sea turtle, where nesting season is October-March. Playa Grande is also a great surf spot.

Parque Nacional Rincon de la Vieja and the Rincon Volcano are about a 2-½ hour drive, just north of Liberia. This 35,000-acre national park is home to over 300 species of birds and Costa Rica’s national flower Guaria Morada, a purple orchid. Rincon Volcano is the 3rd most active volcano in Costa Rica with 9 active craters.
